Mibo board books review

Mibo board books

Today I want to share with you 3 Mibo board books. They are The safari set, The jungle crew and The polar pack. All by Madeleine Rogers and published by Button books.

As you may have worked out by now, we love children’s books. I believe in introducing babies to books from an early age and these books are perfect for this. They are aimed at children 0-3 years. E is 9 months and F is almost 4, so these books are perfect for us. They have rounded corners and wipe-clean pages making them perfect for babies and toddlers.Mibo board books

The first thing I noticed when I received these book was the graphics. They are completely different to most children’s books. They are bright, modern and visually eye catching. I soon realised why when I read the press release that came with them. These books are by Madeline Rogers and Mibo. Mibo is a design practice that originally produced lighting and then branched out into children’s products. It was the creation of these animal characters that ultimately led to the development of these Mibo board books. You really must go check out the children’s products in collaboration with Coqenpate. They are bright, colourful and the graphics are visually striking. I want most of the products on their website.

Anyway back to the books. Apart from the stunning graphics, these books also have a lovely rhyme to them which young children love. Each book focuses on 5 different animals which live in the habitat that the book is themed on. For example, The safari set, features hippos, giraffes, lions, zebras and elephants. Each animal gets 2 double pages with a rhyme across them. The final page of each book has some facts about the animals which children at the older end of the recommended age range will enjoy. The facts include – Each zebra’s stripes are slightly different, just like our fingerprints. Mibo board books

I would say that the recommended age range 0-3 is just right. Really F is getting too old for them but I feel the graphics and the facts kept her interested whilst we read them to E. Again the bold graphics helped to capture the interest of my 9 month old. I look forward to continuing to read these books as E grows up to be a toddler. I think these would make the perfect first birthday gift as toddlers will get the most enjoyment out of them. The Mibo board books are available to buy now and retail at £4.99 each.Mibo board books
