Spring reading, clothes and activities #littleloves

Spring reading, clothes and activities #littleloves

I’ve been on annual leave this week which is nice. Only Monday and Tuesday felt any different really though as these are the two days my daughter  is in nursery so I got some very rare days to myself (if you ignore all the workmen that is, more about that below).

Just books to the ladybird again this week. I’ve been trying to read spring themed books with her such as Millie-Mae Spring and oh dear! (about farm animals).

Starting our easter activities off with some spring themed books.

I found time on Monday to watch another episode of the night manager (I’m still a week behind though). I’m still loving it. I’ve convinced my husband to watch it so I can’t watch the rest of the series when he is around though. Other than that I think I have only watch The big bang theory and Raised by

The ladybird told me I was her best friend in the whole world last weekend. It almost made me cry! I have no idea where she learnt the phrase but it was so cute. Her other new phrase this week is “find something different my do mummy” when ever she gets bored!

I’ve also heard a lot of banging this week so not the relaxing week off I planned but we are making progress on the house at least. The ladybird was most upset though when she got home from nursery on Monday to find our bathroom removed. She cried, asked where her bathroom had gone and told her daddy he had to fix it!

I bought the ladybird a lovely new spring jacket in Sainsburys this week. It is machine washable thankfully as white is not the most practical colour for toddlers. I’ve also bought her a gorgeous party dress which she will be wearing this weekend ( so will appear in next weeks little loves.IMG_4899.jpg

I’ve made lots this week including some yummy meals since we are not falling back on quick pasta dishes after work. I forgot to take pictures of them all though! I’ve made a lamb and aubergine tagine, egg fried rice, homemade pizza and pork with a pepper and tomato sauce.

I’ve also made the ladybirds easter basket which you can see here. I also made an Easter tree which I love.

Wednesday and Thursday the ladybird was home with me so I planned lots of easter activities since we couldn’t go out and to distract her from all the noise. We did sensory play with coloured rice, play doh, painting and making chocolate cornflake nests. She enjoyed it all.

And lastly….

I’m looking forward to three days off (I’m working Monday) with the ladybird and my husband. I think we will be out lots due to the state of the house! It’s also my mum’s 60th birthday so we have a party to look forward to. I hope you all enjoy your easter weekend.little-loves-badge

We did a Sainsburys clothes shop this week too – they have some really lovely stuff, although, as usual, I ended up buying most things for Little Bear in the boys section; boys’ clothes are always so much brighter than girls’ for some reason! I love all your Easter crafts, where do you find the time with a toddler at home?!

I had two very rare days to myself this week whilst the toddler was in nursery and I was using up work holiday. Since we had all the building work going on I prepared a box of craft/activities for us to do. Most take very little set up.

So many fun activities you are so good I really need to do more than I do especially with messy play and sensory activities with my two. we have done a few easter bits though finally. lol Love that jacket so cute. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Happy Easter! #litteloves

Trust me, we don’t usually do this many activities in a day but it seemed to keep her distracted from the noise and strangers coming in and out. I really enjoy doing activities with her though. Have a lovely Easter too.

Sainsbury’s has some lovely bits in they have got the cutest pink bunny cardigan in at the moment which Meme would love. I have heard lots of people talking about the Night Manager I will have to give it a watch! Have a lovely weekend x

I don’t think they had that in our Sainsburys (ours is quiet small). I’m sure you want be disappointed if you give the Night Manager a try.

That jacket is beautiful, love it! I’m impressed with all the crafts and activities you’ve been doing with the ladybird, I never seem to do anything with my little one that artistic, although when I try he just does what he fancies doing anyway. Kids! Hope you have a great weekend and your mum enjoys her party x

When I can, I try to set things up and let her do what she wants, rather than telling her what to do. I find it keeps her attention longer. Baking is obviously different and as such she often loses interest and goes away to play with toys!

Love all the Easter activities! So very creative! I was always rubbish at that kind of thing when mine were little – I always relied on nursery and playgroups for that kind of thing.. oops!
Hope you had a lovely Easter weekend xx
