I’ve been on annual leave this week which is nice. Only Monday and Tuesday felt any different really though as these are the two days my daughter is in nursery so I got some very rare days to myself (if you ignore all the workmen that is, more about that below).
Just books to the ladybird again this week. I’ve been trying to read spring themed books with her such as Millie-Mae Spring and oh dear! (about farm animals).
I found time on Monday to watch another episode of the night manager (I’m still a week behind though). I’m still loving it. I’ve convinced my husband to watch it so I can’t watch the rest of the series when he is around though. Other than that I think I have only watch The big bang theory and Raised by
The ladybird told me I was her best friend in the whole world last weekend. It almost made me cry! I have no idea where she learnt the phrase but it was so cute. Her other new phrase this week is “find something different my do mummy” when ever she gets bored!
I’ve also heard a lot of banging this week so not the relaxing week off I planned but we are making progress on the house at least. The ladybird was most upset though when she got home from nursery on Monday to find our bathroom removed. She cried, asked where her bathroom had gone and told her daddy he had to fix it!
I bought the ladybird a lovely new spring jacket in Sainsburys this week. It is machine washable thankfully as white is not the most practical colour for toddlers. I’ve also bought her a gorgeous party dress which she will be wearing this weekend ( so will appear in next weeks little loves.
I’ve made lots this week including some yummy meals since we are not falling back on quick pasta dishes after work. I forgot to take pictures of them all though! I’ve made a lamb and aubergine tagine, egg fried rice, homemade pizza and pork with a pepper and tomato sauce.
I’ve also made the ladybirds easter basket which you can see here. I also made an Easter tree which I love.
Wednesday and Thursday the ladybird was home with me so I planned lots of easter activities since we couldn’t go out and to distract her from all the noise. We did sensory play with coloured rice, play doh, painting and making chocolate cornflake nests. She enjoyed it all.
I’m looking forward to three days off (I’m working Monday) with the ladybird and my husband. I think we will be out lots due to the state of the house! It’s also my mum’s 60th birthday so we have a party to look forward to. I hope you all enjoy your easter weekend.
