Children’s books, midwives and cheese scones #littleloves

Thankfully the ladybird was back to her happy, healthy self on Saturday. We had a busy weekend look at bathrooms and celebrating my father-in-law’s birthday. Then is was back to work/nursery for two days before my days off with the ladybird.

On Wednesday I shared a post about our current favourite children’s books. I loved putting that post together so expect more of this. There are just so many fantastic children’s books on the market.

This week’s Greys anatomy had me gripped all the way through. I love every episode but some are especially good. I also enjoyed this week’s new x files, I’m getting in to this series more than I thought but still not like the original when I was a teenager.

The baby’s heartbeat. I’ve just got back from my 25 week midwife check. I never tire of getting to hear the heartbeat. It was being a little monkey pushing the doppler away and hiding so it took a bit of finding. The ladybird also told my mum on the phone after that she had heard baby’s heartbeat which was so cute.

Not sure if this counts but I bought a gorgeous babygrow this week (my only clothing purchase for this baby so far). I’m not a massive fan of the unisex clothes available, most are really pale colours and I love bright colours so this one from Boots is perfect in my eyes.

IMG_4652Last friday, I baked wholemeal cheese scones for lunch. I enjoyed them but the ladybird barely touched them. I’m hoping it was just because she was ill as I froze some. I used this recipe from The Witt family but replaced the plain flour with wholemeal.

We’ve also been doing lots of painting and play doh these last few days. The ladybird has been loving it.

And lastly….

I still can’t believe I am 25 weeks pregnant tomorrow. We have so much that we want to get finished in the house before the baby arrives in 15 weeks. Our plans for this weekend will involve making progress on some of them.

There’s nothing better than hearing baby’s heartbeat, such a wonderful sound! Boots have such fab unisex, bright clothing. I found Sainsburys usually have some good bits too xx

Greys is so good at the moment isn’t it? I said I wasn’t going to watch it again after Derek died.. but that didn’t last long! xx

It really is. I thought it wouldn’t be as good without Derek but it still has me hooked.
