We’ve spent this weekend camping in North Yorkshire and thankfully it’s been a much better experience than last weekend. Mostly sunshine, lots of exploring, playing and a much relaxing as you ever get with children under 5.

These photos were both taken at the amazing play area at fountains abbey yesterday. Wasn’t it hot? Thankfully the play area is in the woods so lots of shade. We stopped here both on the way to the campsite on Friday and home again on Sunday. That’s the beauty on our annual national trust membership, you don’t feel like you have to do everything in one visit. The abbey is a world heritage site and is stunning. I’ll be sharing a full blog post soon.

I think the weather is meant to be cooling off after today but yes it has been roasting hasn’t it? We have lots of NT places down our way too – I should really make more use of them! #LivingArrows

So glad you had a better camping experience – and that really does look like a fantastic play area! x

Precious shade! It was much needed the other weekend, a playground in the shade is perfect. It sounds like an amazing place to visit. Can’t wait to see the full post x #LivingArrows

It looks like a fab play park. We keep talking about getting National Trust membership but have yet to get round to it – maybe we’ll actually do it this year! #LivingArrows
