How did back to school go for you? My eldest went back to school and started in year 1. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her say she is loving year 1 and it is better than reception despite her disappointment that there is no home corner. I think it was the lego that won her over. The little one has started in longer sentences too. Mostly “I want a ….” She also loves singing “Baby Shark” and doing all the actions. Whatever you do, if you’ve not heard of this song, do not look it up!

This weekend the weather hasn’t been the best but yesterday we visited Quarry Bank Mill, a local National Trust property. They’ve just opened a temporary The tiger who came to tea exhibition. The girls enjoyed a storytelling session and playing with the different games and toys.

What a lovely photo! Our little lady started Preschool last week and so far so good, she seems to be really enjoying it which is such a relief. At songtime on the first day they must have included Baby shark as she came home and told us all about it ….It’s been a favourite of hers ever since 😂 #livingarrows xx

So pleased that back to school is going well – year 1 seems like such a step up from reception x

Sounds like she has settled well. Monkey wasn’t looking forward to going into year one when there was no free play but he forgot all about it pretty quickly. This is the second time today I have heard baby shark mentioned, I am wondering what I am missing.
