Starting to feel festive and an annoucment #littleloves

It’s been a while since I blogged and since I last joined in with #littleloves but today seems like a good day to jump back in. The reason I’ve not blogged is I’m pregnant! I’m 13 weeks tomorrow and finally starting to feel a bit more like myself. It’s been a long 7 weeks of near constant nausea, a severe lack of energy and “morning” sickness in the evenings. Consequently blogging (and just about everything else) has taken a back seat whilst I focus on working, looking after my daughter and sleep!

I have still been reading plenty of blogs but unfortunately not commenting all that much. I’m particularly loving reading blogs by other pregnant bloggers (I loved their blogs before they were pregnant too). Charlotte form Write like no one’s watching announced her second pregnancy at about the same time we found out I was pregnant so I’ve particularly enjoyed following her posts as I could really relate to how she has been feeling. I’m also enjoying Mummy, daddy and me, Little jam pot life and Mudpie fridays.

Yesterday we had our 12 week scan and I watched our babies heart beat on the screen. It’s the best feeling ever and the biggest relief. The sonographer said it looked perfect an was very well behaved as she managed to do all the measurements easily. It had it’s hand up in front of it’s face for most of the scan.

Since I’ve pretty much been going to bed straight after my evening meal when the nausea becomes just too unbearable, I’ve not been watching that much tv. Our sky box is almost full of all the shows we watch together as a couple, after putting the ladybird to bed. I have managed to watch a few like Catastrophe, the secret life of five year olds and the first episode of You, me and the apocalypse.

Nothing exciting! I’m struggling with jeans and trousers as my current ones feel uncomfortable at the moment. I still need to dig out my maternity clothes from last time round, as well as buy some new ones as I did bin rather a lot. If anyone has any recommendations for good places to order maternity wear please let me now in the comments.

Last night I went out for a meal with all my mummy friends. All our children were born within about 6 weeks of each other. A few of them already have two children and one is due to have her second in January. Last night after all the congratulations I heard all the good and bad of having two young children. The general message seemed to be it isn’t as hard as you expect most of the time. I got home at 11pm and felt dreadful (not feeling that great this morning either) but I’m so glad I made the effort and as always we have such a good catch up.

My husband is doing most of the cooking lately and I haven’t done any crafting either with or without the ladybird in a while. I did put together an activity/book advent calendar for my daughter last weekend.

IMG_4454.jpgYesterday our first activity was play dough Christmas trees which the ladybird loved. It kept her entertained for almost and hour which at 2 and a half is pretty good. We will definitely be repeating that activity soon.

And lastly..

We’ve got a lovely festive weekend planned. Tomorrow we are putting up our tree and on Sunday we are going out for a Christmas meal with my husbands extended family so we will sharing our good news!

Hopefully I’ll be back next week with some pregnancy, festive blog posts and another little loves.

Thank you. I’ve always wanted two children. I’m sure there will be bad days and I know the early days will be tough but I know it will get easier as they grow up.

Thank you. Yes it must be lovely watching them play together. The closest thing we have is her 6 year old cousin who she completely adores. Lovely to see them together and the age gap with her sibling will be slightly smaller. X

Congratulations lovely news. I found going from no children to one much harder than going from one to two if that makes sense.
Hope you feel better soon. Have a lovely weekend x

Oh yey!!!!! Congratulations!!! There are so many pregnant bloggers! Including myself, of course. Huge, huge congratulations and I hope you get some energy back soon. I can’t bear cooking in the first stage of pregnancy either. I found one to two a really good transition. I’m expecting two to three to be crazy!!! xx
