The first family holiday is an important one. It can set a precedent, allowing your kids to work out what kind of environments they’re compatible with and enjoy. Additionally, you as the parent are in a similar position, as the dynamic of a holiday can change when the kids are involved. Ultimately, you should, therefore, strike out for a place with lots of variety! Italy is that place! Consequently, here are some recommended activities that make Italy such an appealing holiday destination for families.   Not too far If it’s your first family holiday, chances are your kids are still relatively young. Therefore, the last thing you want is 12 hours on a plane with bored kids. What you want is a quick trip, a short bounce from place A to place B. Well, Italy is your perfect place B! If you’re travelling from England, your trip to Italy will be quick and stress-free. Flights are regular and rarely surpass the three-hour mark, unless unforeseen circumstances occur for the crew like weather conditions, etc. In the end, in terms of logistics, Italy is a highly convenient travel location that’s very different from the UK, but not too far away!     Accommodation options Nothing says ‘family bonding experience’ like a fun and exciting holiday. As you know we love camping and can’t wait to take the kids camping in Europe. Fortunately, exciting camping holidays in Italy are very easy to come by and provide a lot of stimulation and activity for everyone involved. In terms of where you will be staying during your holiday, there’s a wide range of accommodation available, such as homes, safari tents and lodges to suit all needs and ages. Northern Italy hosts a lot of lakes, water sports and boat trips, meaning fabulous views are plentiful in this region. With this in mind, ensure you spend time during your holiday enjoying the scenery and taking a tour of the water, which will be sure to please both parent and child alike!   Food and temperatures Worried that Italy will be too hot or cold for your outdoor activities? Well, fear not, because Italy has a diverse range of weather that’s never too much of anything. There’s a plethora of beaches to relax and build sandcastles on, no matter what season it is that you head over. The climate in Italy, for the most part, is perfect. Even when it rains, Italy is rife with other kinds of adventure too; especially in the food department! We all know that the country is famed for its pizza and pasta dishes, but there’s a lot more in store here also. The cuisine is exquisite and there’s always something new and different to sample, and even picky kids will find something to their liking.   Conclusion Ultimately, Italy is as diverse a holiday destination as can be! There’s a lot to get on with, and everyone is likely to be satisfied due to the range of activities and foods to get involved with.
