I mentioned last week that I have been blogging for 8 years this month. I also mentioned considering switching to self-hosted. Well, I’m pleased to say I’ve done it. I’ve also merged my previous blog, that I started when pregnant with F. I now have all my pregnancy and baby updates in one place. I also have a lot of work to do to make all the posts fit together better. Categories need a complete overhaul, as I know have far too many. Recently my Instagram account has been discovered by some family members and although I’m happy with them seeing it, the idea of more people I know finding my blog makes me nervous. So much so that I considered quitting. I decided that I either need to stop blogging or make my site one I’m proud of. Since I’ve been blogging on and off for 8 years, I know how much blogging means to me and quitting didn’t feel like the right option. Depending on when you read this, my blog might not be looking at it’s best. I nearly didn’t join in with little loves this week partly because my new site is so unfinished (and is taking up a lot of my free time) & partly because sadly my auntie passed away yesterday. It wasn’t unexpected and is a blessing as she has suffered a lot for the past 3 years. She would not have wanted to go through what she has. She was a big part of my childhood and I know she is partly why I enjoy creative hobbies. She taught me to sew and tried to teach me to knit. I have many happy memories of crafting, baking and days out with her to look back on.
Read
We were early to rhyme time at the library on Tuesday. E was asleep (F was at nursery) and Hurrah for gin was sat on the just returned shelf. I read the first couple of chapters there and then. It’s so easy to read and perfect for short bursts of reading.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll have seen I’ve been sharing our bedtime stories this week.
Watched
Not a lot this week. We did enjoy last week’s No offence and I’m hoping we will catch up with this weeks over the weekend.
Made
A new blog. Well almost. It’s a work in progress at the minute. I’m hoping to spend some time on it over the weekend and hopefully by next weeks Little loves post I will be happy with it. Please ignore he mess this week!
F made us a footprint valentine’s day picture at nursery this week. I love anything like this. It’s now stuck up on our kitchen/garage door of the children’s art work.
Heard
At almost 4 years old, F sounds so grown up at times but at other times she says the silliest things. Here are a few of my favourites from this week. “Glow land, can you say that E?” (E is 8 months) “You’re alright kid” (to E, I’ve no idea who calls her kid). “My dinner’s cold, it’s shivering”
Wore
On Saturday, I had a rare couple of hours to myself at the hair dressers. I read magazines and got a much needed cut and colour.
And lastly….
Of course valentines day was this week. My husband spoilt me with beautiful flowers and yummy Hotel chocolates (still not started the diet).

Oh don’t get me wrong. I will not be voluntarily sharing it any time soon! Glad I’m not the only one cagey about blogging. Have a lovely weekend too.
I’ve been meaning to read the Hurrah for gin book, how are you finding it?
So far I’m loving it.
