We’ve had another lovely week with plenty of sunshine. Some days have been warmer than others. The last couple of days have been pretty cold but on Sunday we didn’t need a coat.
My week started out well. When I parked up on the drive after playgroup on Friday morning, I turned round to find two sleeping girls. What’s more, they slept for 90 minutes! I used the time to read and comment on some little loves posts and other bits of blogging.
We had a quiet weekend at home. You can read more about Sunday in my Home life project which I published on Monday. Anyway, this week I’ve been loving these things.

I switched all the books around on the bookshelves in my girls’ bedrooms this week. I love changing the books around on these shelves that are very visual for young children. We have lots of books on traditional shelves (where only the spine is visible) but I find the ones on these ones get selected more as they are so easy for F to pick from. I’m in the middle of writing a post with all our favourite spring reads in so expect that soon. I’ve been sharing some of our bedtime stories on Instagram as usual.

I’ve been catching up with Big little lies this week. I think I’m still a week behind but I’m really enjoying it so far. I read the book a few years back but I still don’t remember any of it which is a huge bonus. I’ve also been watching my usual favourite vlogs on you tube.

My maternity leave finishes at the beginning of June and I’m trying to get back to being organised again. I used to be really organised but lately, I’d say I’m not as much. For example, I always used to meal plan. Now I tend to do the online shop without a meal plan and then spend half the week wondering what’s for tea. I also used to use a bullet journal but being at home I haven’t found I need it as much. I bought a new notebook (the last one was a little worse for wear and also almost full) and last weekend I started it up again. So far this week I’ve noticed the difference in how organised I am. I also wrote a meal plan this week and changed which supermarket we get our delivery from as I was unhappy with the choice of products from the one we were using. I’m not the most artistic person so I used to use it as a fairly plain list style bullet journal however all the you tube videos and blog posts have inspired me to try and be more creative this time round and also add in things like a gratitude list etc. So far I’m loving it.
Wore
My littlest has been wearing these adorable dungarees from Boden this week. We’ve also not needed to wear coats on a number of occasions. Loving spring arriving!
Heard
My mum came over on the train on Wednesday and I happened to tell F that grandma was in Manchester. Her response made me laugh so much. My husband works in Manchester so she hears the word a lot but probably doesn’t really understand. She told me that Grandma couldn’t be in Manchester because she is a girl so would be in girl manchester! The logic of an almost 4-year-old hey.
And lastly …
I went out with some of my mum friends last night. We had a lovely tapas meal and it was so great to catch up. Some of them I see with our children now and again. Others who work full time I haven’t seen since our Christmas meal out. I can’t believe I’ve known them nearly 4 years. We were chatting about starting school and planning a 4th birthday day out. I’m so grateful to have met them 4 years ago. I’ve not made friends the same this time round.
I LOVE the look fo your bullet journal! I’ve never taken the plunge to do one myself, but I do find myself going into a Pinterest rabbit hole sometimes just staring all the beautiful pages. Love those dungerees!

Those dungarees are adorable for Easter. We are bullet journal twins I have the yellow one too. Love it but sometimes I wish I had more doodle time hahaha Can’t beat mini boden MM always is strutting their bright stuff they have fab sales. Your bullet journal looks a lot prettier than mine, so there must be some talent lurking there! Mine just looks like its been scribbled on the back of a receipt!
I love those book shelves, we have some for my youngest and it’s nice to have the covers on display. I like the idea of changing the ones on it around, I’ve never thought of that.

They are perfect for cooler spring days.
I find using a bullet journal keeps me organised but I am a lover of lists anyway!
That explains why I haven’t started remembering the plot.

How cute are those dungarees! I would love to start a bullet journal but at the moment i cant find enough time to get everything done without adding to the list. Although maybe i could just fill it with do to lists.
Mine gets like that at times and I still find it useful.
