Easter weekend in Anglesey

Did you all have a nice Easter? We went to Anglesey where my in-laws have a caravan. The weather wasn’t the best but we still had lots of fun.

Easter weekend in Anglesey

On Saturday the weather was nice so we went to do a National Trust easter egg hunt at Plas Newydd and had lots of fun. On Sunday it was raining so we had an indoor egg hunt and enjoyed some time playing with the girl’s easter gifts. I shared lots more photos yesterday in my Easter weekend in Anglesey post.

Read

I found some time to read this month’s The simple things magazine over the bank holiday weekend. I particularly enjoyed an article on rainy day adventures (very apt for our weekend). This week we also read that F got into our first choice primary school. We are of course pleased but I can’t believe she’s going to school in September.

Watched

I’ve not really watched much this week. I’m very behind with TV and vlogs with being away Friday to Monday. So I thought I recommend a new to me YouTube channel – very much so. I love their weekend vlogs where they share their adventures. Like me, they enjoy outdoor adventures with their two daughters who are 3 and I think their baby is around 10 months like my youngest. Here is their short introduction to their channel video. https://youtu.be/l51CQ6Oxua0

Made

Easter egg hunts. Unfortunately, this year was the first year we weren’t able to do an outdoor egg hunt. I still set one up for F in the caravan. She loved it and requested another later on. In fact, she spent quite a bit of the day either hunting for eggs or making egg hunts for us.

Wore

Wellies on the beach

F and I wore our wellies on our walk to the beach on Sunday. We even had a little splash in the sea. She loved it and I struggled to get her back off the beach. She really wanted to build a sandcastle. I look forward to coming back when it is warmer to do this.

Many of you might remember I’m a brand ambassador for the clothing brands Piccalilly. Well  today I have a 15% off code for you. It is only valid for 1 week from yesterday. The code is EASTER15. The dress below is one of theirs.

Heard

I downloaded a couple for our weekend away. My favourites were Sara Tasker and Sarah Barnes on Instagram and Pinterest respectively. They were so inspiring. I’ve really been trying to build these two platforms as I love them both.

And lastly ….

This week I’ve joined up with Jemma from Thimble and twig to start some collaborative group boards on Pinterest. We have one for children’s books and one for kids crafts and activities. If you like to join either or both of these boards let me know. We’d love to have you. We are also setting up a Facebook group to go with it to encourage pinning and share pinterest tips and knowledge. I love pinterest but really feel I’ve underestimated how much it could benefit my blog. https://uk.pinterest.com/theladybirdsadv/childrens-books-and-activities/ https://uk.pinterest.com/thimbleandtwig/kids-crafts-and-creative-play/

Disclosure – I am a piccalilly ambassador. I was given a selection of clothing including the dress shown above. I hope you don’t mind me sharing the discount code here but it’s only valid for a week and we were given the code yesterday.

I know, we did apply to the one we were in the catchment area for. I’ve invited you to the children’s book board and Asked Jemma to add you to crafts.

Sadly pinterest just doesn’t like my blog or I don’t use it enough in the right way. I have been using Tailwind which is great but my content of family adventures isn’t as share worthy on pinterest as crafts and food recipes or things like that. Wish you best of luck sounds ace your groups. #littleloves (sorry for late reply).

Yes I agree crafts and food does best. I have some crafts and books doing well. My days out seem to be doing OK too.
