We are OLPRO ambassadors for the second year running, so I thought it was time to write a round-up of all the great OLPRO products we have been testing. We’ve used OLPRO products before we were ambassadors and genuinely love their products and think they make excellent quality family camping essentials at great prices. I’ve also got a discount code for you below (it even works on sale prices!). Find more ideas for camping with kids here.

Tent or campervan awnings
As you may know, we have a Mazda Bongo campervan which is not fully converted so we need an awning for longer trips and a small tent for storage on shorter trips. We’ve had two awnings so far and they have both been OLPRO.
We started out with a * Cubo poled awning. This is a great basic, small, poled awning and served us well for our first couple of years with our campervan.

Last summer we started using the * Loopo breeze awning that we were gifted as OLPRO ambassadors. We immediately noticed the difference in the speed of pitching an inflatable awning, the benefits of having a little more space and the little extra details that OLPRO have on the slightly more expensive models. You can read my full review here – OLPRO Loopo Breeze review.
We’ve not had one of their family tents but they stock but I would recommend them based on our experience of using two of their awnings. You can view their wide range of * tents here.
This year we have been gifted one of their * 2 man pop tents. Now you might be wondering why we chose a 2 man tent. No, we’re not planning to sleep in it but we use it for weekends in our van when we just need somewhere to store our car seats and other bits.

We love it already. It’s so much easier to put down than the usual pop-up tent where you seem to need to be able to fold it in the right way to get it to stay circular! It’s also taller too which means you have more height inside if you are planning to sleep inside.
Sleeping essentials
Getting a good night’s sleep is very important to me. This year we’re testing sleeping bags and a self-inflating sleep mat from OLPRO. We sleep in our van but I like a self-inflating mat on top of the seats for comfort.
OLPRO sent me a Regatta self-inflating mat and it is so comfy. It inflates quickly and it is easy to decompress again when it is time to roll it back up. Olpro no longer sell this mat.

Sleeping bags are also essential. It’s important to find the right style for you and one that keeps you warm enough! There’s nothing worse than being cold at night. We have 2 single * OLPRO sleeping bags that are so comfy and warm. In fact, I’m worried they’ll be too warm in the summer in our van (I’m sure they’ll be fine in a tent though).

Cooking equipment
OLPRO don’t make any of their own stoves but they do stock a wide range of * camping stoves.
If you are just starting out camping then a single-burner camping stove is the cheapest way to cook.
You’re going to need something to put your stove on while you’re cooking. We have been sent the new * OLPRO table. We love how small it folds and what a good size it is when built.

Storage solutions
Storage whilst camping is always important. Even with a campervan, we need great storage solutions to keep our awning from being chaotic.
This year we are using the new * OLPRO collapsible storage cupboard. We found it great on our week-long trip for keeping all our packing cubes of clothing in one place.

We also have a * OLPRO large waterproof storage bag which we love and I can see us investing in a couple more. They’re great for stuffing pillows, pjs and soft toys in during the day in the awning (either when we are out in the campervan or have it set up as seats for daytime use).

Finally, we have been sent a new holdall this year. We don’t tend to use luggage on our camping trips but we are going to the Netherlands via the overnight ferry in the summer. This * OLPRO 60L holdall is going to be fantastic for keeping everything we need overnight in and I’m sure we’ll use it as extra storage in the awning too.
