March has been a kinder month to my family, we’ve had a lot less illness and a lot more adventures. The weather hasn’t been kind though. We’ve had a lot of snow. The month started with “the beast from the east”. Weather so bad F’s school closed for 2 days and my mum (who stays with us 2 nights in the week to look after the girls whilst I’m in work) got stuck at ours for the week as the snow was so bad in Yorkshire. We did get out in the snow building snowmen and walking in our local woods.
The following weekend we had two days out in one weekend. On the Saturday my sister-in-law and nephew visited and we went for a walk in the nearby hills. Sunday was mother’s day and snow free so we visited one of my favourite local National Trust sites (Hare hill) that close for the winter. They have 12 wooden Hares hidden around the small woods and over the winter they have moved a lot of them around. My girls had lots of fun finding them. Our toddler adored them (she was too young last year). As the spring is approaching it’s nice to see her enjoying being outside more and also watching the two girls interact more. E obviously spends a lot of the time in her pushchair but as she is getting older and wanting to walk more it’s nice to see them interacting more on days out.
We had a lovely trip to Trentham Monkey Forest another weekend and we finished the month off with a trip to Anglesey for the bank holiday weekend. Good Friday was a beautiful day, the most spring like we have had. We visited another beautiful National Trust (Plas Newydd) for the Easter egg hunt. I’m hoping now it’s April spring will truly arrive, we drove home on Monday through areas of snow!

Looks like lots of adventures. Great that you make the effort to get out rain or shine. Also those wellie boots are too cute! #CountryKids
We do try. I love the wellies too.
A rainy month! You’ve not let the poor weather stop you all from getting out and having a good time! #CountryKids
We do try to get out plenty.
I love the rainbow puddle suit, so cute and colourful. I would love to visit Trentham, it looks stunning
Trentham is gorgeous. We only went to the monkey forest part this time but the gardens are stunning.
I do love those rainbow overalls, they make all cold photos instantly look warmer! March was very cold everywhere but a good National Trust visit is a good idea in any weather. Glad to hear you all all feeling bettere and managed some lovely adventures in Anglesey and from home.
Thank you for sharing such gorgeous photos from your adventures on #CountryKids

Doesn’t this month’s post just sum up March – all the mist and rain. I love that you have still ventured out and explored. Thank you for joining in with this months #MyFamilyAdventures
We do try to get out in most weather! Let’s hope April is better.
I bet it was lovely to spend more time with your mum during the winter weather. Hare Hill and Trentham look really appealing. #countrykids
It was although I think she needed a break from the kids by the end of it!
What a lot of lovely adventures you’ve had, with beautiful captures & memories being an outcome. Glad to hear March was much kinder to you and your family, and it really sounds like you made the most of the month #MyFamilyAdventures
We did thanks. It was a much better month.
Looks like a fun adventure! Loving every photo. You went to lovely places! Glad to now that you had an amazing March. Ours is a bit quiet because of stomach bug that my son caught before half term. #countrykids
What a shame. My toddler had one yesterday. Luckily it lasted less than 24 hours. I’m just hoping no one else catches it.
Such gorgeous photos here and what a mixture of a month weatherwise it was! Glad it was kinder though. Thank you for joining us and Iām sorry for the late comment! #myfamilyadventures
