As you’ll have noticed by now, we are a family that loves family walks and getting out exploring the UK. We love UK family days out and holidays and as such we wear walking boots a lot. Comfortable and sturdy walking boots for all the family that are also affordable is key. So I was thrilled to be sent a pair of Regatta’s Women’s Samaris II Waterproof Mid Walking Boots to review.

Regatta is a brand that we have bought from a lot over the years. They have a wide range of walking boots to choose from. I chose the Samaris II waterproof mid walking boots in pink. I chose them as they are described as waterproof, hardwearing and cushioned which are all important qualities in walking boots. * See how much these walking boots currently are here.

We love family walks so I wear walking boots a lot! My old pair had definitely seen better days so it was good to replace them. I don’t know about you though but I always worry about breaking new shoes in and frequently get blisters from new shoes. I have worn these new boots on a few walks already and they were comfy from the first time I put them on.
As well as being incredibly comfy, I also love the design of these boots. They’re a deep grey which is a very practical colour (let’s be honest they’re going to be covered in mud very soon). I also love the bright pops of pink details too.
I can also confirm that they are really practical and waterproof too. We love hill walks and often walk on uneven and rough terrain. The soles of these walking boots are suitably thick and also padded for comfort. The boots use XLT Sole technology. There is EVA cushioning at the heel for shock absorption for prolonged comfort. I’ve used them to climb a rocky hill recently and can confirm they are really comfortable on uneven surfaces.

These walking boots combine isotex and hydropel technology to make them waterproof, breathable and also easy to clean. Waterproof walking boots are very important not only for walking in the rain, puddles and for any mishaps on stepping stones!
I love walking boots rather than walking shoes as I like the ankle support so I like that these boots are mid-height. As with most walking boots, they have lacing hooks that are quick and easy to adjust, great if you wear thick walking boots.
In summary, I love that these boots are really comfy, waterproof and great value for money. * Get your pair here.
Are Regatta walking boots true to size?
Yes, I ordered a size 6 which is my size for all shoes and these are a great fit.
Are regatta walking boots any good?
This is obviously very subjective but I love these boots and I have bought my kids’ several pairs of * Regatta kids walking boots. For me, they are the right balance of quality and cost.
