Beaches, 20 week scan and crochet #Little loves

Beaches, 20 week scan and crochet #Little loves

I’m a bit late this week writing this. In fact it is 11:30 am Friday morning and we are just home from a busy morning of hospital scans and midwives appointments. The ladybird is happy playing with her duplo so I thought I’d join in with #littleloves.

Despite picking out two books for me at the library last Thursday I’ve still not read very much this week.

Of course this week’s watched has to be about our 20 week scan. I loved watching our little baby kick away on the screen sucking it’s tiny thumb! It was really interesting to see all it’s skeleton and organs and of course reassuring to know that everything is as it should be for this stage.

I used to do a lot of crafts but like most things it has taken a back seat this pregnancy. Since I am feeling a lot better I thought I would like to try and do a bit. I’m half way through making new curtains for our bedroom which I would really like to finish soon (along with a whole list of other half finish projects!). I thought it would be nice to start making a few bits for this baby and also a project that can be done n small pockets of time so I have started a star garland for the nursery. It’s been so long since I crocheted ┬áhad to watch you tube videos to remember what all the stitches were!

It is so cold right now that last weekend I bought a winter hat. I’m not much of a hat wearer but I love this one I picked up last weekend and it was very much needed on Crosby beach where we went to see Antony Gormley’s Another space. Yes we got a very light dusting of snow on Sunday and we went to the beach! we might be mad.

The only thing I can think of for this heading is the baby’s heart beat. I know this has already been covered by watched but I can’t think of anything else I have heard this week. After our 20 week scan this morning we had my midwife appointment too. I’m pleased to say the ladybird was an angel through both. Sitting there quietly taking it all in and generally charming all the staff.

And lastly….

We’ve got a busy weekend ahead with a trip to Liverpool tomorrow and picking up our new car on Sunday but hopefully I’ll be back to tell you more about all that next Friday.little-loves-badge

I think I was too at one time. I think it is the quick results I enjoyed. Hopefully I will get addicted again as I have a big stash of yarn!

Aww what a special week, nothing like seeing your baby on a scan and hearing his or her heartbeat! Have a great weekend. Sounds like a busy one!

20 weeks how exciting – half way there! I love your winter hat. I am from Liverpool but haven’t been to Crosby beach in years – I love a winter beach! x

Half way feels amazing. I’m finally feeling better and I’m sure the next 20 weeks will fly! I think Crosby beach might b better in the winter. It’s not exactly the type of beach you want to sit and relax on in the summer!

I love a scan picture. The 20 week scan is so precious isn’t it?
Loving the crochet star, so clever. Looking forward to seeing the garland when you’ve finished xx
