Gustavo is a very shy ghost who just wants to make friends.
It's a beautifully illustrated book which is great for teaching children about
being confident. The illustrations are stunning and rich with details that your
kids will love to explore and talk about.

This is a really fun book that is a how to guide. It is
split into different sections like how to care for a ghost, how to meet a
ghost, things to do together etc. The illustrations are simply beautiful too.

This is a simple story of a family out to pick a pumpkin from a farm to take home and carve. There is a nice rhyme to the story too. It's perfect for setting the scene if you are going pumpkin picking. We love the illustrations too.

This is a classic Halloween picture book that you may remember from your own childhood. This is the first book in the series which introduces the family of skeletons who live in a dark, dark cellar of a dark dark house on a dark dark hill. Kids love the repetition in this great collection.

Another classic Halloween picture book that I had to include is Julia Donaldson's Room on the broom. Kids love the rhyming story of the witch who is flying around until the stormy winds blow off her hat, bow, wand etc which are retrieved by various creatures who then join the witch and her cat on the broom. A lovely classic story that is perfect for preschool children at Halloween

This is a great book for preschool and older children. It is great for number recognition and counting as well as being perfect for Halloween. The story is written in rhyme and as you go through the number of skeletons increases by 1 on each page. Kids will love the cut-out element on each page which gives a sneak peek at the next page. The highlight for my own kids is always turning off the light for the last page where there is a glow in the dark surprise.

A beautiful Halloween book showing children that it is ok to be different. Ghosts are meant to be sheets that are light and can twirl but the little ghost is a quilt. He feels sad and left out but one Halloween he has an experience that no other ghost can have, because he is a quilt and he learns it is ok to be different.

This is one from a series of books that are perfect bedtime reads for young children. They are one of my favourite rhyming bedtime stories that also introduce counting backwards from ten. In this one, we meet Belch the monster who doesn't want to go to bed. It's a perfect way to end a fun Halloween day with a calming bedtime story.

This book is gorgeous. I love the greyscale illustrations with the pops of orange (some pages even have a bit of shimmering gold). We love the cut-out bits on some pages too. The story is as sweet as the illustrations. Ollie helps a lost kitten find its way home but, in the process, loses something dear to him. Of course, the is a happy ending to this truly heart-warming story but I won't spoil it for you.

This is a really sweet story about Angelina and her friends preparing firefly costumes for Halloween. It's a lovely, sweet look at Halloween and sisterly love. We love the beautiful illustrations that are rich with details that children love to look at.

I bet you're familiar with this series of picture books, if not you should be. They're so interactive and fun that young children simply adore them. In this one there is a witch in your book making a right old mess. Can you use your magic to keep the book tidy? You're child we love joining in with the instructions this story gives them time and time again.

This is a really fun Halloween story about Christopher the pumpkin who doesn't want to be scary. He much prefers fairy cakes to curried slugs! It's written in rhyme that rolls off the tongue that young children will enjoy listening to time and time again.

This is a really funny picture book that you all will love to read together. Howl is a werewolf with a big problem, he's just not scary.
He's the odd one out a monster school because of it. He soon finds some new friends and discovers being the odd one out might just make him the coolest one ever. What's not to love about a hilarious monster book with a great message to
pass on to our children?
