Father’s day gift guide and a giveaway

Can you believe that Father’s day is just a few weeks away? If you are still looking for gift ideas for your dad or perhaps your husband from the kids, then I might be able to help. I find my husband and dad the hardest people to buy for. With this in mind, I’ve rounded up a few ideas for gifts that I think they’ll love. Perhaps you’ll find the perfect gift for your dad too. Find more gift ideas for everyone here.

If he loves a bit of DIY then perhaps a new power tool would be a great gift. This drill comes with a range of accessories and can drill concrete, wood and steel. This one is heading my husbands way and I have a list of jobs already lined up for him to try it out on.   Speck phone case, various prices

Perhaps he’d like a new phone or tablet case? Speck offer a wide variety of designs to fit a wide range of phones and tablets. They are designed to withstand impact which is always a bonus. We were kindly sent 3 to test out and I can confirm, not only do they look great but they also help protect your phone from impact, a real bonus with kids around.   Ralph Lauren wallet, Mainline mens wear £59.99

This wallet is both functional and stylish. Made from real leather and available in black or brown. It has 2 slots for notes and spaces for up to 8 cards. I think my husband is going to love this present.   Silver coloured cufflinks, Dobells, £14.99

These stunning cufflinks are just one of many designs stocked by Dobells who sell a large selection of smart mens wear. I chose quite a simple design but you could choose some that are more fun and add a touch of personality to an outfit. Cufflinks are the perfect finishing touch to a shirt for any occasion.   Personalised whisky glass, £11.99, Giftpup.com

My husband enjoys a whisky every now and then. This glass is a lovely personalised gift. As you can see the front is personalised. I chose for mine to say Daddy’s Whisky est. 1980 but you could choose your recipients name or dad, grandad etc. Father’s day cards, Hallmark

Of course, you’ll need the perfect card to go along with whatever gift you choose. Hallmark have a fantastic range of cards for every occasion. This year’s cards lived up to my expectations and they kindly sent me a small selection that you can see above.   Daddy’s words of wisdom, from £14.99, Penwizard

We quite often buy gifts from the girls for each other that they will enjoy too (usually children’s books). Both of our daughter’s love Peppa pig book so I know that this book will be well loved. Daddy’s words of wisdom is a personalised book perfect for father’s day. I chose to include two little girls and include the girls names. You can personalise the daddy and up to 3 children, including their hair, skin and eye colours along with many other features such as hairstyle. The book is available in soft or hardback. It’s a really fun story and the girls enjoy that their names are mentioned alongside their favourite tv character.   Flintstones Itty Bittys, Hallmark

These are another fun little gift for the girls to give their daddy. I’m sure they’ll find their way into their toy boxes though. There is an Itty bitty for everyone. From the Flintstones characters featured here to the superhero mad or Disney fanatic.       Gift experience, buyagift.co.uk

Not convinced any of these gifts are right? Then how about surprising him with a gift he’ll never forget? This father’s day Buyagift are encouraging us to #buyabettergift. I do think experiences are often a better gift than stuff. Why not dare your dad to try something new? How about skydiving? or a flying lesson? Rally driving or Monster truck driving? Whatever you think he’d enjoy there is bound to be an experience available to suit your budget.
