This week has bee an improvement on last week for sure. E seems just about back to herself for now at least and I’m eventually feeling a lot better. Unfortunately, my husband has now caught it! Sunday was the worst I’d felt in a long time and I spent the entire day pretty much in bed. Fortunately, I was well enough for work on Monday. It’s been a long week and apart from a friend’s house warming party on Saturday, a not very interesting one. Still, I’ve found some little loves to share this week so here goes.
Despite not picking a novel up in months, this week I’ve added lots of books to my must read list! I’m naturally a book lover but rarely find the time since becoming a mum. Once I do restart, I certainly won’t be lacking in inspiration. My recommendations came from work colleagues and this blog post by Hayley from home.
F has been enjoying this book about superheroes this week. I published a review of it yesterday.
E getting more and more confidence cruising around the furniture. She doesn’t stop and has even been known to move around using just the walls for support.
I enjoyed watching Kat Molesworth’s weekly vlog which was blogtacular week. If you don’t subscribe to her youtube vlogs you should check them out.
Nothing! We didn’t make it to forest school last Friday as F went to stay at my parent’s for a couple of nights since both E and I were ill. I did use my time with just E to make her a treasure basket. This time I filled it with shiny things.
Yesterday I bought E her first pair of shoes. It’s getting harder to not put her down when we are out and about so we decided she’d benefit from shoes. Her dinky little feet are only a 2 1/2 F. Aren’t tiny shoes just the cutest thing? F has only ever been able to wear pumps and t bars so it’s a real novelty to be able to but ones like these.
I took F shopping for school uniform on Saturday. M&S had 20% off so I decided to make the most of it. She loved it. She was twirling around the changing room in a pinafore. On Monday she had another settling in session at school. This one was her first without either me or my mum staying with her. Bless her, she wanted to go in uniform.
I might have mentioned before how much I enjoy hashtag authentic podcasts. This week it was full of tips on growing your Instagram. If you love Instagram as much as I do, you’re sure to love these podcasts. Don’t forget you can find me on Instagram as ladybirdsadventures.
I also heard from F’s new teacher how well she did on her first school settling session without me or my mum. She getting really excited about school.
Have you seen I have a giveaway running until midnight on Sunday? It’s my first giveaway too. If you have a baby or toddler you might like to enter to try and win 1 of 3 copies of Little mouse’s big secret.
