Even superheroes have bad days book review

Even superheroes have bad days book review

What happens when superheroes have bad days? Do they use their laser eyes to ignite forest fires? hurt people? destroy things? or throw trucks? If you want to find out then you’ll have to read Even superheroes have bad days. It’s a great book for teaching children about emotions. F is 4 and is going through a superheroes phase (she’s loving the lego batman movie right now). This book is great as it fits in with her love of superheroes but also teaches her about controlling our emotions.

In this book, we learn that despite superheroes having powers that they could use for evil they don’t. Instead, they use their powers for good. They help people feel happy and they help to fight crime. I also like that this book tells children that it’s ok to cry but not fight or cause damage.

The illustrations are lovely. They’re colourful and full of detail. I love this illustration below of superheroes meditating.

Actor Chris Evans even read this book on CBeebies bedtime hour a little while back. Did you see it?

Even superheroes have bad days is written by Shelly Becker and illustrated by Eda Kaban. ISBN – 978-1-4549-1394-8 and is available from most booksellers now.
