My daughters both love dolls. So When Bigjigs Toys asked if I would like to review a couple of Lottie dolls I jumped at the chance. Below you’ll find my Lottie dolls review. My eldest is 5 and has enjoyed these smaller types of dolls for some time now and my youngest who is two and a half has recently started to enjoy these dolls too. I chose these two designs as they are great Christmas gifts for outdoorsy kids.

I don’t tend to do many toy reviews on here as that’s not really what this blog is about but the thing I love most about Lottie dolls is that they are age appropriate and designed to empower children.
Lottie dolls have the proportions of a 9-year-old child and are designed with kids in mind.
They promote getting kids outside, using their imaginations and STEM subjects. All values that I am trying to instil in my children and promote to other parents through this blog.

I chose Muddy puddles and Stargazer Lottie dolls. My girls love jumping in muddy puddles (and I love the bright yellow raincoat and wellies) and are obsessed with the moon, so I knew they’d love these two dolls.
As soon as they arrived in the post they were both so excited I had trouble sneaking them off to take a few photos of them in their packaging. They love these dolls and have played with them a lot over the last few weeks. They’ve taken them everywhere with them.

Lottie dolls come beautifully packaged in these colourful cardboard boxes that tell you lots about the particular doll. The amount of plastic in the packaging is minimal too. They are ideally presented for gifting. See the full range * here.

There is a wide range of different Lottie dolls available and lots of fun accessories to expand imaginative play.
Lottie doll muddy puddles
This Lottie doll is all about promoting children to get outside whatever the weather (much like us). She has long blonde hair, blue eyes and is wearing a yellow hooded raincoat, yellow rain boots, a long-sleeved t-shirt, blue corduroy shorts & striped leggings.
The wellies have a cut down the backs so that they can be taken off and put back on easily.

In addition, she comes with a telescope and tripod, solar system collector cards and a Notable women in astronomy information sheet.

My girls both love these dolls. They have acted out many different scenes with them. I think they are adorable little dolls, the perfect proportions for little hands.
There is a lot of attention to detail with the clothes and accessories too. The hair is another notable feature as it is really good quality. Shiny and soft and so far doesn’t seem to tangle easily like some dolls’ hair. I’d definitely recommend these dolls and I’m sure we’ll be adding more to our collection soon.

These are wonderful dolls. Over the years my girl has had quite a few and loves them. They are just right. I like that there is no make up and that they look like real girls.

These look really fab. I have two boys so they are not a feature in our house but have no doubt they would if there were girls around!
I bet you have a house full of other toys though!
We have the retro outfits- they are very cute. Love these outfits too!

I love the outfits – too many fashion dolls outfits are a bit on the ‘grown up’ side if you know what I mean!

They’re fabulous dolls, I particularly like the fact they aren’t tall and curvy and smothered in make up. We need more dolls like them
