I don’t know about you but in our house we love Playmobil. This post is a Playmobil zoo range review as we were recently sent a couple of items from this range in exchange for this review. I love Playmobil toys as not only are they perfect for imaginative play they are so well made and these toys stand the test of time. Imaginative play is something that my girls love and will play for hours.

Playmobil family fun zoo range
The Playmobil zoo range is suitable for children who are 4+. My two girls are 4 and 7 years old, they have been playing with these toys and testing them for you for the last week. I’m not going to lie, they loved these toys as soon as they arrived and they are still picking them up daily.
It’s been a while since we were able to visit a zoo, Edinburgh zoo is one of our favourites but we do watch some of the zoo tv programs and the Facebook lives that some have been doing this year. My girls love animals so I knew they would love this new range.
We already have a lot of Playmobil toys which they play with regularly and these new zoo toys have been happily added to their collection. They started initially by playing just with these zoo range so that I could get these photos for this post but now they let their imaginations run wild and I have seen elephants walking through their Playmobil campsite!
Playmobil elephant habitat
The Playmobil elephant habitat was the first set we opened. We love elephants so we were keen to see what was included in the set.
What do you get in the Playmobil elephant habitat?
See the photo below to see the toys straight out of the box. There is a little construction required but it is so straight forward that my 7 year old quickly put it together.
In the set you get 1 large elephant, 1 baby elephant, 1 demarcation element water ditch with water plants, 1 tree, 1 straw bundle, 1 peaked cap and 1 zoo keeper.
The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous large elephant. I was pleasantly surprised by just how big it is and how much of the elephant moves. The ears move back and forth, as do the legs, feet and trunk. The tail can be moved in all directions and the head is a ball and socket, so the head can move in all directions. My girls love this elephant and I can see why. The baby elephant is almost as moveable as the large one too.

Again we loved the attention to detain in this small set. My girls love playing with this set alongside the elephant habitat. I love that playmobil is encouraging them to use their imaginations and the sets also encourage fine motor skills too.
