Poorly ladybird, frozen and bathroom plans #littleloves

It’s been a bit of a mixed week round here. We had a nice weekend in Yorkshire with my parents, then the beginning  of the week was busy with long work days. Wednesday I had to leave work early as the ladybird became ill. It’s nothing serious but she has had a fever ever since and isn’t eating well. She slept in my lap both Wednesday and Thursday afternoon (most unlike her) and she is in my bed at night. She slept a bit better last night as the calpol/nurofen for children kept her temperature down for longer. It’s back this morning though and she is currently curled up on the sofa next to me watching postman Pat. It’s hard when your child is unwell.

This week I have started rereading the hypnobirthing ebook I purchased last time round. There is a CD I will also try to dig out once I have read the book. I can’t say I had a birth like the inspiring stories in the book but then I haven’t given birth without doing hypnobirth to compare it. I don’t remember using the techniques in labor much but I think it might have helped me stay calm and handle the pain fairly well so I feel it is worth repeating this time round too.

Can you believe I watched Frozen for the first time yesterday? I actually surprised myself by enjoying it (I’ve not seen all that many new ones and was under the impression they were not as good as the older ones I remember from my childhood). I did manage to change to watching Stella once she fell asleep since I was trapped under her! Any excuse to put my feet up as I was feeling quiet tired already Wednesday before she became ill and obviously since then I have slept poorly.

I wore my maternity swimsuit for the first time last Friday as I took the ladybird swimming for the first time since last October/September. She loved it and I really must make an effort to take her these next few months.

I’m not sure I have made anything this week. I did manage to do a small amount of work on our new bedroom curtains but not very much. We also made the decision to get our bathroom replaced before the baby arrives (mad I know as we only have 16 weeks to go).

We moved 12 months ago and started off well doing the house up (don’t get me wrong it’s mostly decorating apart from the bathroom and downstairs loo that desperately needing replacing) then we has a busy summer and lost focus. Then I lost all motivation when I got to 5 weeks pregnant and started with nausea/sickness and tiredness, which if you read my blog you will know only lifted a few weeks back. Fingers crossed we finish in time and that it’s not too stressful. You can find my pinterest board with all my inspiration below.

The ladybird asking her grandma if there was a baby in her tummy! oops. She has also been telling us things are “perfect”, I have no idea where she picks up some of the things she says.

And lastly….

We had a lovely day on Sunday. We went for a short walk in the woods, went to visit the chickens followed by a drink in a cafe. The ladybird loved it all. Lets hope the ladybird is well enough to do a bit of something this weekend.

Quick visit to the farm near my parents.

Good luck with the bathroom renovations! Can’t believe you’ve only just watched Frozen – it’s a great film, but my O thinks it’s a girls film and won’t let me watch it! Gutted! x

I loved Frozen, well the first few times I was subjected to it anyway 😉 Those bathrooms you’ve pinned are gorgeous. My house (it’s rented) has two gorgeous modern bathrooms and one weird old one, which is the only one with a bath in it. Kind of wish that was the one that had been done. Hope the ladybird is feeling better soon x

I read the hypnobirthing book and had the CD when I was pregnant with my second and I must say my labour was so much better than my first. I used all the breathing and relaxation techniques and hardly felt the contractions!
Good luck with the bathroom renovations, we’re having ours done in April and I cannot wait!.
Hope to see you linking up for Little Loves tomorrow xx
