This is a really simple fudge recipe that I made for Christmas. It would make a great homemade gift for Valentine’s day or Mother’s day. It only uses 4 ingredients (3 if you stick to just milk chocolate) and is so simple to make. I had always thought making fudge was complicated and required a thermometer. Turns out it is so simple you can make it in a slow cooker. This fudge was delicious too. I let my eldest decorate half of it and left half plain but the options are endless.
Slow cooker chocolate fudge
Simple to make and delicious to eat. The perfect homemade gift for any occasion.
- 200 g Dark chocolate
- 200 g Milk chocolate
- 375 g can of condensed milk
- 25 g Butter
- Sprinkles or chopped nuts to decorate
-
Break the chocolate up into small chunks and add to the slow cooker.
-
Cut the butter into cubes and add to the slow cooker.
-
Turn the slow cooker on to low.
-
Every 10-15 minutes stir the chocolate well.
-
Continue for around 2 hours until the chocolate is smooth and silky.
-
Meanwhile, line a 30cm x 20cm (3cm deep) baking tray with baking paper.
-
Pour in the chocolate mixture once it is silky and smooth.
-
Now is the time to press any decorations into the top.
-
Place in the fridge until set (1-2 hours).
-
Once set, chop into squares ready to eat or gift.
