Sports direct £5 christmas gifts

Sports direct £5 christmas gifts

Can you believe it’s time to start Christmas shopping? Christmas can be an expensive time, so like many parents I shop around to get a good deal. Recently I was challenge by Britmums to find Christmas gifts for £5 from sports direct. I nearly turned the opportunity down as I associated sports direct with trainers and football kits. However when I took a look at the £5 gift selection I was pleasantly surprised. I was given £30 to spend and chose to find stocking fillers for my daughters (age 4 and 17 months).  All these gifts and delivery came to a little over £30. I’m sure you’ll agree this is great value for what I received. I would never have thought of looking on sports direct for my daughters before.

I chose 3D snakes and ladders, paint you own Elsa, a Crayola sticker set, Frozen mini magnetic sketcher, Zoggs swim soakers and a Little Mermaid bath jigsaw. All these items were £5 or there abouts. The magnetic sketcher and the jigsaw were under and the swim toys a little over £5. I was really pleased to see they stocked brands like Disney and Crayola at very reasonable prices. My 4 year old loves Disney so I know she will love her gifts.

The website is easy to navigate and check out was fast & simple. Delivery was also fast and I received text updates to keep me informed of when it would be delivered. Delivery was £4.99 and it was the same price to collect in store which seems a little expensive. Unfortunately my delivery turned up with one of my items (the crayola set) completly squashed. All these items were packed in loose in a bag. As you can see a few others were dented too but one was so bad I wouldn’t have been happy to give it as a gift. I know the items are cheap but for £4.99 delivery I would have expected them to be boxed to reduce the risk of damage. I contacted Britmums for advice who put me in touch with customer services. Customer services were very helpful and happy to replace the damaged item. Unfortunately, it was now out of stock but I chose a replacement item (Dino operation which I think my 4 year old will love, I always wanted the game operation as a child).

Overall I am happy with the items amd service. These £5 items are all out of stock now but there is an equally good new selection of new gifts available. Find the full range of £5 gifts here. There are items for everyone, not just kids.

Disclosure – I was given £30 to spend at as part of britmums #sdfiverchallenge. All photos, thoughts and opinions are my own. As always this is an honest review, see my disclosure for more details.
