It would feel wrong for a summary of the past week to not include the event of Wednesday afternoon in London. Although they are the complete opposite of a little love. My heart goes out to all the families of those killed or injured. In some ways, it feels wrong to be writing about such little things when there are such big issues in the world. However to change the way we live would be to allow the terrorists to win. With this in mind here are my little loves from this past week.

Last Friday lunchtime I got home from playgroup to find two children asleep in the back of the car. I managed to spend 40 minutes reading March’s The simple things magazine. Such a rare treat to have a little me time in the middle of the day.
We’ve also been reading these new board books to E. On Monday I published my review of these gorgeous Mibo board books.
Watched
I watched Absolutely fabulous the movie on Sunday evening. Although I enjoyed it, I can’t say I loved it. I’ve not had time to watch this week’s Grey’s anatomy or Big little lies which are my two favourite tv shows at the moment. From Monday evening, E has been full of cold/cough. My evenings have been spent up and down trying to settle her to sleep. She seemed a lot better on Thursday.
Made
I made a fresh batch of play dough on Saturday and F enjoyed the Easter play dough invitation to create for most of the afternoon.
We had another creative activity on Wednesday morning. We did some shaving foam marbling which I plan to use to make mothers day cards. I hope to blog about the activity in full next week.
Wore
F got new shoes last Friday. I forgot to take photos and one pair are muddy and the other pair is back home (we are at my mum and dads for a couple of days). I particularly love the blue ones. They had them in yellow last year but didn’t do them in F’s size. 
Heard
After we bought F her new shoes she repeatedly said ‘I’ve got my new shoes on’ all afternoon.
I heard from staff at our nursery that F had said that she loved her mummy as she gave really big cuddles. At the moment she says things like “It’s the biggest one I ever saw”. Size is a big thing for her. She frequently asks how many mls is this. I also enjoyed hearing her doing phonics. It’s nice to see her loving learning so much.
And lastly …
Tuesday was a really busy but fun day for me. I was invited along to a baby yoga session at the nursery where F is currently (and E starts in June) in the morning. In the afternoon we went along to a special mothers day celebration in the preschool room. There was afternoon tea and lots of different activities. Some of the activities were for us mums to watch them do like phonics and others were for us to do with them (like painting salt dough). One of the staff took E for some of the session which meant I could focus on F which was nice. I also got to see just how relaxed E was with the staff. My eldest settled into nursery very easily and Tuesday made me see that hopefully, E will be just the same. I really enjoyed my couple of hours with F and her friends as much as any mother’s day gift I might receive on Sunday.

It’s great isn’t it? I still love it all these years later.
They did them in yellow last year but stopped the size smaller than we needed ?. I love them too and they fit F well (a lot of shoes didn’t fit her well, skinny heals or something).
