I’m super excited to share with you how you can create this cute bunny handprint painting with your child. I hope they love it as much as mine did.

What you will need:

You will need a few basic supplies that I bet you already have in your art supplies to get started with this cute bunny handprint art. It’s always easier to gather your supplies and get everything set up before inviting your young child to start creating.

You might to get your child involved with choosing the colour of the card. Perhaps they have a favourite colour that would work well. Pastel colours work well such as a pale yellow, blue, pink or purple.

How to create bunny handprint art

So you’ve gathered your supplies and your child is excited to create their own unique bunny handprint painting. Here’s what you need to do.

1 – start by painting your child’s hand white but do not paint the thumb.

2 – Stamp a handprint on paper with fingers slightly spread. Next you need to allow time for the white paint to dry. This can be difficult with young children so I would suggest having another activity to do while you are waiting. I’ve included some ideas further down the post.

3 – Next paint pink lines between the first and second finger, and between the third and fourth. Can you see the ears of your bunny?

4 – Paint a pink upside down triangle for the nose centrally on the palm (see the photo below). Again you will need to allow more time for the pink paint to dry.

5 – Once all the paint is dry, draw two eyes, a mouth, and whiskers with black marker.

6 – Cut out the handprint, if so desired.

How cute is your bunny painting? You might like to use this for the front of an Easter card which will make a beautiful keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.

If you love this craft, don’t forget to pin it for later.
