Mini boden, halloween reads and giggles #littleloves

You might remember from last week’s little loves post that E was unwell. She continued to be ill all weekend and even once she seemed better in the day, she was sick every night around 3 am! Luckily by the end of Sunday, she had finally started eating again and had stopped being sick in the night. I feel like I’ve either worked or been looking after a sick child for the past week so this will not be the longest little loves post (nor do I have many photos) but there are always little loves to seek out.  I’m writing this Thursday evening and I’m pleased to say she is completely well again now and so happy about it. We’ve had a lovely day together today  and I’m looking forward to the rest of my long weekend with my family celebrating my birthday (which is today/Friday). Anyway here are my little loves from these past 7 days.

As usual, I have read nothing myself but I have read lots of books with my girls. F is continuing to bring library books home from school twice a week and she has also started to bring reading books home too. She’s not ready for reading them yet but we are pointing to the words as we read them and talking about the pictures. In addition to school books, we are continuing to read our own books especially autumn ones. On Wednesday I shared a blog post with my favourite 7 Halloween books for young children.

F, in particular, is loving these books but E is taking more and more notice of reading. She especially enjoys all the animal noises I have to make in Wake up do, Lydia Lou!

As you can imagine with a sick toddler, I’ve watched even less than usual (unless Mr Tumble counts, then I’ve watched more than ever). I did find time to catch up with cold feet on Wednesday evening though. Another great episode.

Nothing to report here this week. Move along.

Regular readers will know how much I love colourful clothing for my girls. Well, last weekend I picked up a few bits in the Boden sale for F. How cute and colourful are this top and swimming costume?

I also got my hair done last Saturday. It was nice to get it done and also lovely to have a few hours child free in the middle of all the days looking after a sick toddler.

Lot’s of giggles from E now she’s better. She seems to be in a very cheeky and giggly mood this week. I’m not sure if it is just more noticeable after seeing her miserable and ill but nursery commented on it too and she wasn’t ill last time they look after her).

And lastly…

And I’m afraid that is it. Sorry, there aren’t many photos. I can’t believe we only have a week left until half term. This first half term at school for F has just flown by. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and I will be back next week with more little loves. Don’t forget to click the button below and head over to Morganna’s lovely blog to read more little loves.

So pleased that E is all better now. It’s awful when they are poorly.
Love your Boden bargains. I love Mini Boden for my youngest and would completely kit her out if I could afford to.
    Have a lovely weekend x

Thank you. Yes I’d dress both of mine permanently in it if I could afford.
