Shark paper bag craft
Create this super cute shark craft with a paper bag and some basic craft supplies. Perfect for kids during shark week or any time!
Materials
- Paper lunch bag
- Light blue paint
- Dark blue paint
- White construction paper
- Blue construction paper
Tools
- Scissors
- Glue
- Black marker
- Paintbrush
Instructions
1. Start by painting the Paper Bag.
Lay the paper bag flat with the flap facing up. Paint the bag using two shades of blue. For example, you can paint the main body a darker blue and the flap a lighter blue. Let the paint dry completely before moving on.
2. Next cut the teeth.
Using white construction paper, cut several small triangle shapes. These will become the shark’s sharp teeth. Make enough triangles to line the bottom edge of the flap.
3. Create the Fins
Cut three triangles from blue construction paper. Two triangles will be side fins. One triangle will be the top fin.
4. Add the Teeth
Lift the paper bag flap and glue the white triangles underneath the flap so that the pointed edges stick out. When the flap closes, it will look like the shark has a row of sharp teeth.
5. Attach the Fins
Glue the two blue triangles to the sides of the paper bag to create the side fins. Glue the third triangle to the top of the bag to make the dorsal fin.
6. Finally draw the Eyes
Use a black marker to draw two eyes on the flap of the bag.
