Beach footprint painting
Find out how to create this cute summer art painting which will be treasured for years to come. Their little feet will never be as small again!
Materials
- Watercolor paper
- Watercolor paint
- Tan acrylic paint
Tools
- Paintbrushes
- Paper plate or paint tray
- Baby wipes or damp towel
Instructions
- Start by painting the top half of the watercolor paper blue to create the ocean. Let kids blend different shades of blue for a soft watercolor look.

- Paint the bottom section yellow to represent the sand.

- Use a paintbrush and darker blue watercolor paint to add wavy ocean lines across the blue section of the paper. You now have your beach scene background which you need to allow to dry before the next step.

- Pour tan acrylic paint onto a paper plate or tray. Carefully paint the bottoms of the child’s feet with the tan paint.

- Help the child gently stamp their feet onto the yellow “sand” section of the paper to create footprints in the sand.

- Let the painting dry completely before displaying or saving as a keepsake.
